June is the beginning of dry and cold season, chilling especially at night and morning. This time of the year Tarangire offers less wildlife numbers than previous months. The Serengeti migration herds will be meandering between center and western and wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater is a must see. The number of safari vehicles is medium in June.

Arusha / Lake Manyara
Driving distance 129km – 2hrs
Departure to Lake Manyara for game viewing is after breakfast. The park offers a diverse array of attractions. From its pristine settings, big wild games and bird species. Colorful waterfowl like the flamingo happily frolicking on the swamps.
Let’s spot the tree climbing lion. On hot day, flat topped acacia trees serve as relaxing platforms. As afternoon sets in, a picnic lunch will be served at the park. Thereafter our game drive will continue. Between the animal life and the plant life, there will never be a dull moment.

Ngorongoro Crater / Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, our safari adventure begins. We will set out past the forested rim of the crater before descending 610 meters to the caldera floor. Year around water provides life for an assortment of wildlife species.
The crater floor is also a sanctuary for Black Rhinos. As afternoon sets in, a picnic lunch will be served, then more game viewing before ascending the carter wall back to Tarangire park. What a wonderful day of uncovering the many natural wonders of the Ngorongoro Crater. By sundown we will return to camp for dinner and siesta.

Tarangire Full Day Game Viewing
After a vitalizing breakfast, we will set out for a full day of game viewing. This park offers opportunities to exhibit its pristine settings and diverse wildlife. During dry season, masses of herds congregate the riverbank and quench their thirst at the only shallow river still flowing. By the afternoon, lunch will be served in the park.
Bird watchers will be impressed by the numerous bird species and array of colors. After a rewarding game drive, the gorgeous sunset leads us back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park / Arusha: 118km – 2hrs
Let’s set our alarm clocks for a 6am for sunrise drive. The many nocturnal creatures will delight and amaze. Prowling through the woodlands searching for prey are the lion, cheetah and leopard. The Tarangire woodland is full of life 24/7. Bring your camera for awesome nocturnal photo opportunities.
A Picnic breakfast will be served while enjoying the stunning scenery. Thereafter you will continue exploring the immense settings and abundant wildlife. By afternoon we will have lunch before heading back to Arusha.

-You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport to fly out of the country or Arusha Domestic Airport and fly to Zanzibar or join another wildlife safari if extended excursions are selected.
