Detailed Itinerary

Accommodation Level: Mid range-Tented Camp and Lodges.

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport – Nairobi

 Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our airport representative and transferred to your city hotel for briefing, our rep will take you through a brief itinerary orientation before set out on your East Africa Adventure. 

                    

Nairobi – Lake Nakuru 

Distance Approx: 176km – 2.5hrs drive

Activities:

The safari starts at Lake Nakuru Park after breakfast. We arrive at the lodge for lunch before setting out for a late afternoon game drive. The park displays spectacular scenery of the lake, yellow backed acacia forest and the Great Rift Valley escarpment. It is also famed for its shallow soda water but has been expanding day by day for some years now. It is home to lesser flamingos.

The Black Rhino and White Rhino can also be seen here. The lake shore is the best place for watching waterfowl at close range. The leopard and lions share this inspiring nature together with giraffe, buffalo, zebra and bush-buck.  You will return to your lodge as the sun sets for dinner.

Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara.

Distance Approx. 310km – 6hrs drive.

Activities: Game viewing.
Program: The safari begins after breakfast. We’ll drive west to the Maasai Mara National game reserve. Lunch is served when we arrive at the camp. After lunch we set out for an afternoon of game viewing. We will return to the lodge by sunset.

Maasai Mara Game Reserve Game Drive

Activities: Game viewing

Safari starts after breakfast for a full day game drive at Maasai Mara, the reserve offers great chances to explore the rich flora and fauna. Wildlife meandering along Mara River a home to flotillas crocodiles and the “Big Five”. Between August and December is the amazing  picturesque great migration crossing. A picnic lunch will served at the park. Then you will continue game driving and return to your lodge by sunset.

Masasai Mara – Serengeti National Park

Activities: Game viewing
Program: After an early breakfast your expedition will head to the Serengeti via the Isbania border. You will meet our Feline Safrais Tanzania Limited™ 4WD Land-Cruiser. After visa procedures you will board and takeoff to Serengeti. Past the scenic Mara River to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Full Day Serengeti National Park

Activities: Game viewing
Program: the day starts with breakfast. Then we depart for a full day of game viewing. The Serengeti is famous for its vast open grasslands, a paradise for bigger lion prides, elephant, buffalo, eland, giraffe, zebra and gazelle. The rivers host larger numbers of hippo, crocodile and waterfowl species. Picnic lunch will be served, followed by more exploring of the Serengeti. We will return to the camp as the evening sets.

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro

Distance Approx. 161 kilometers   

Activities: Game viewing
Program: You will leave the camp after breakfast for some wildlife viewing. The stunning horizon southeast and massive kopjes (granite rocks) dot the plains. Many predators and wildlife use these rocks as shelter on hot days.

Lunch will be served at the plains before we exit the Naabi main gate. Then we head to the rim of the Ngorongoro crater, to arrive at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Ngorongoro crater – Karatu

Activities: Game viewing
Program: Game viewing at the crater starts after an early breakfast. A diversity wildlife, includes-buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, hippo, rhino and hyena clans you won’t find elsewhere. A picnic lunch will be served in the afternoon. Then we will ascend the crater wall and head to the lodge for the evening siesta.

Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha 

Distance Approx. 120km 2hrs drive

Program: The day begins with breakfast. We will descent the Great Valley escarpment to its basement. Diverse habitats, dense woodlands, the Great Rift Valley wall and a shallow alkaline lake. This wilderness is a paradise to many waterfowl species. Elephant, buffaloes, giraffes and Impala harem roam between the open plains and the forested Valley slopes. Several hundred Olive Baboon troops, Sykes (blue monkey) hippo, lions and many more are park residents. In the afternoon you will stop for a picnic lunch by then continue on a game viewing before drive back to Arusha.    

-Overnight stay at Kahawa Lodge 

You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport to fly out of the country or Arusha Domestic Airport and fly to Zanzibar or join another wildlife safari if extended excursions are selected.
