Planning a Tanzania Kenya safari Serengeti means you have the best of two countries to choose from. Across Tanzania and Kenya, we operate in over 15 top parks, reserves, and conservation areas. No single guest can see all of them in one trip – that’s why our itineraries are flexible. Some of our popular itineraries start from Nairobi JKIA with first night in Nairobi, while others start in Nairobi and end in Arusha / Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to Zanzibar or return flight home. You choose attractions based on your days, interests, and budget.
1. TANZANIA ATTRACTIONS WE OFFER
Across Tanzania, these are the attractions available for your Tanzania Kenya safari Serengeti. Your final itinerary will include 3-5 of them, not all:
a) Serengeti National Park – Core of Every Tanzania Kenya Safari Serengeti
Included in ALL our cross-border itineraries. 14,750 sq km of endless plains, Big 5, 1.5M wildebeest Migration, and Mara River crossings. Official info: Tanzania National Parks – Serengeti. We recommend 3 nights (Seronera + North Serengeti). This is the heart of your trip.
b) Tarangire National Park – Available
Famous for 3,000 elephants and giant baobab trees. Best in dry season (June-Oct). We offer it as an option for guests who love elephants and want to avoid crowds. Featured in our 12-Day Kenya Tanzania Safari.
c) Lake Manyara National Park – Available
Known for tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and groundwater forest. A great half-day addition between Tarangire and Ngorongoro for bird lovers and photographers. Offered as optional extension.
d) Arusha National Park – Available
Near Arusha town. The only park where we can offer walking safari and canoeing, with Mount Meru views, colobus monkeys, and Momella Lakes. We offer this for guests who start their safari in Arusha/JRO and have an extra day before crossing to Kenya.
e) Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Included in Most Itineraries
World’s largest intact caldera with 25,000 animals including rare black rhino. Included in almost all our Tanzania Kenya safari Serengeti routes as it’s on the way to Serengeti.
f) Tanzania Beach Extension – Zanzibar Only
For beach, we offer only Tanzania beaches – Zanzibar (Nungwi, Kendwa, Paje). White sand, Stone Town culture. We fly you from Arusha/JRO to Zanzibar after safari. We intentionally do not offer Kenya beaches – we keep your beach extension in Tanzania for better value and connection. More on all parks at Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA).
2. KENYA ATTRACTIONS WE OFFER
Across Kenya, these are the attractions we cover. Depending on your entry point (Nairobi JKIA) and days, you will combine 2-4 of them with Tanzania side:
a) Masai Mara National Reserve & Conservancies – Core of Kenya Side
Included in all Kenya-Tanzania routes. Great Migration July-Oct, Big 5, Maasai culture. We use both main Reserve and private conservancies for exclusive game drives.
b) Amboseli National Park – Available
Best for Kilimanjaro views with 1,000+ elephants. We offer this for itineraries starting or ending in Nairobi as it’s near Namanga border.
c) Tsavo East & Tsavo West National Parks – Available on Request
Kenya’s largest parks (22,000 sq km combined). Tsavo East for red elephants and Yatta Plateau, Tsavo West for Mzima Springs with hippos and Shetani Lava Flow. Official info: KWS – Tsavo East National Park. Offered for guests who have 12+ days and start from Nairobi, especially those who want less crowded parks before Amboseli.
d) Lake Naivasha & Lake Nakuru – Available
Lake Naivasha offers boat safari among hippos and Crescent Island walking with giraffes. Lake Nakuru offers rhino sanctuary and seasonal flamingos. Offered as optional 1-night add-ons for itineraries starting Nairobi JKIA.
e) Nairobi National Park – Available for Nairobi Start
The only park inside a capital city. We offer a short morning game drive for guests who have first night in Nairobi before safari.
3. How We Build Your Itinerary – You Don’t See Everything, You Choose
Important to understand: No guest sees all attractions above in one trip. That’s impossible in 11 or 12 days. What we do is: We show you the full catalogue of attractions we operate in across Tanzania and Kenya. You tell us your days, interests (elephants? birds? culture?), and start/end point (Nairobi JKIA, Arusha, JRO, Zanzibar). We then build a custom route that includes 5-7 best-fit attractions.
Some of our popular itineraries start from Nairobi JKIA: Example – Nairobi (1 night) – Amboseli – Tarangire – Ngorongoro – 3 days Serengeti – Masai Mara – end Nairobi. See: 12-Day Kenya Tanzania Safari
Other popular itineraries start in Nairobi and end in Arusha / JRO to Zanzibar or return home: Example – Nairobi – Amboseli – Tarangire/Manyara – Ngorongoro – Serengeti – Mara – end Arusha/JRO for Zanzibar flight. See: 11-Day Package ending in Arusha/JRO
