June is a fantastic time to visit Tarangire National Park! The abundance of wildlife and the chance to witness the Serengeti Wildebeest Migration must be truly awe-inspiring. The  Norongoro Crater is definitely a must-see destination with its incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. since the number of vehicle is moderate in June, visitors can enjoy a more intimate and immersive experience with nature. 

Dry Season in Tanzania, which is when wildlife congregates around water sources like rivers and ponds in places like Tarangire and Serengeti national Parks. The Ngorongoro Crater also teems with wildlife during this time.

Detailed Itinerary

 Mid Range Tented Camp and Lodge,

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Kahawa Lodge for itinerary briefing and an overnight stay. Get ready for the safari of your dreams.

Arusha / Serengeti National Park

Driving distance 347.6km – 5hrs 20mins

The safari starts early in the morning after breakfast. Then we head to the famous Serengeti, via southwest rim of the Ngorongoro crater. We will pass the Malanja depression with its stunning views. The Olduvai woodland is a treat while on the way to the vast open plains.

In wet season, the Great Annual Migration is the highlight. Great herds also occur more north, still the southern plains offer awesome game drives. There is a great chance of seeing wildlife all year around. Also, a great habitation of bird life.

As the afternoon kicks in, a delicious picnic lunch will be served in the wilderness. Afterwards game viewing will continue. This is an awesome chance for you to witness lions hunt some unsuspecting prey. What an experience! Tanzania is famed for its numerous wildlife reservations. Let’s discover and adventure, while nature keeps prefect balance. As the sun sets, we will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

-Overnight stay at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp

Central Serengeti Seronera / Northern Serengeti Kogatende

Driving distance 118km – 3hrs

After a nutritious breakfast, we will depart for more game viewing en route towards the northern Serengeti ‘Bologonya’.  Our drive will take us past Lobo/Klain’s Valley providing gorgeous scenery and great chances of viewing wildlife species. The rambunctious hippopotamus and the intelligent elephant are sights to behold.  Giraffe, buffalo, hartebeest, topi and many more animals are supported in these wildernesses.

The unique Bologonya valley shares an un-fenced border with the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Animals move freely between these wilderness areas. Makes for a lot of wildlife action. After a remarkable game drive, we will return to your lodging for dinner and rest.  

-Overnight at Serengeti Savannah Camp

Full Day Drive: Observing herds of Wildebeest at the crossing.

A full day of game viewing starts after breakfast, heading to Mara River valley. A welcome respite for hungry crocodiles roaming the river with eager anticipation. Wildebeest and Zebra carefully cross the flowing river.

Every year between August and December the riverbanks allow for excellent gnus sightings. Innumerous Wildebeest herds cross the river, risking the jaws of some of Africa’s largest crocodiles. Only the strong, quick and well positioned will survive the crossing.

As the afternoon sets in, a picnic lunch will be served in the bush. Then we will spend the rest of the day enjoying the one of Africa’s annual Great Migrations. Afterwards we will return to camp for a flavorful dinner and overnight stay.

Serengeti Kogatende / Ngorongoro

Driving distance 208km – 6hrs

Let’s head our expedition towards the rim of the Ngorongoro crater. After breakfast, you will hit the dramatic Bologonya River valley via the Klein’s/Lobo woodlands. Past the center of the park and the southern plains to Naabi hill’s exit gate. Our next adventure takes us to a Maasai village where we’ll learn customs and cultures that have been held for several hundreds of years. After the Maasai village visit we will drive towards the rim of the crater to arrive at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

-Overstay at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

Ngorongoro Crater / Arusha

Driving distance 179km – 3hrs

Early bird gets the worm! Let’s get an early start perhaps after breakfast or a picnic breakfast at the crater floor. The crater floor is home to numerous wildlife species. Let’s visit the Black Rhino sanctuary. Apart from wildlife the crater has a unique setting.

As the afternoon kicks in, lunch will be served at the crater floor. Afterwards we’ll ascend the crater wall and return to Arusha.

-Overnight stay at Kahawa House 

You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport to fly out of the country or Arusha Domestic Airport and fly to Zanzibar or join another wildlife safari if extended excursions are selected.
