June is the beginning of dry and cold season, chilling especially at night and morning. This time of year Tarangire offers less wildlife numbers than previous months. The Serengeti migration herds will be meandering between center and western and wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater is a must see. The number of safari vehicles is medium in June.

The region is usually dry and the grass turns yellow. At Tarangire and Serengeti masses of wild game gather along the rivers and water ponds. Much wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater. The number of people in the parks is high in this season.

In October the region is completely dried out. Serengeti and Tarangire wildlife only gather at water sources to quench their thirst. A medium number of visitors are in the parks at this time.

Temperatures are warm during the day and can drop considerably at night. The first thunder showers start to build over the Serengeti rolling plains and relieve the wild residents from the dry habitat. In Tarangire there are a number of resident game year around. The Ngorongoro crater is  abundant with wildlife. The number of visitors in the parks are low in November.

Detailed Itinerary

Accommodation Level: Mid range-Budget Camping.

-Upon your arrival from Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by our airport representative for itinerary briefing. Then driven for an overnight stay at your lodging, before starting your adventure. 

Arusha / Tarangire National Park.

Driving distance 118km – 1 hr 57mins 
Safari be after an early breakfast passing through pristine countryside dotted with baobab trees which seem to dwarf animals grazing beneath them. A river flows in the middle of the park all year around. Picturesque for wildlife sightings. Massive herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and impalas. Apart from wild animal herds, Tarangire is inhabited by numerous bird species. 

Picnic Lunch will be served at the park. Thereafter we continue game viewing and at sunset you will be entering the camp.

Tarangire National Park / Serengeti National Park

Driving distance 226km 5hrs

Safari commences after breakfast. We head towards the Serengeti, via some spectacular landscapes, from the volcanic soda lake based along the Great Rift Valley. The gorgeous rim of the Ngorongoro crater, to the vast open grasslands of the Serengeti. The flood plains are a sanctuary to many wildlife species including gazelles, reed-buck, Topi, hartebeests, elands, buffalo, giraffe and elephant.
As the afternoon sets in a picnic lunch will be served. Then our game drive will continue past some spectacular habitats. Hyenas, cheetah, leopard and lion. As the sunset begins we will be entering the camp for overnight stay.

Full day game drive at Serengeti National Park

Another day of exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti. A paradise to both predator and prey. Among them lion, cheetah, hyenas, and the elusive leopard. Rivers host hippopotamus and crocodiles.  The woodland support elephant, giraffes, buffalo, water-buck and impala harem.

Picnic lunch will be served in the bush. Thereafter we will continue  game driving. After a remarkable afternoon, we will be entering the lodging site as the sunsets.                                                            

-Overnight stay at Serengeti bush Camp

Serengeti National Park / Ngorogoro

Driving distance 110km – 2hrs

Discover what is hidden in the dark. We suggest going out to view the spectacle wilderness of the Serengeti before sunrise. Very often early morning drives are adorned with the rhythms of nocturnal prowling predators. Lion, hyena, leopard and cheetahs. The open plains are not the only ideal for wildlife sighting. After a lovely morning, we drive back to the camp for brunch’ breakfast and lunch. Thereafter you will leave the camp behind for some more game viewing before exiting the Serengeti. We’ll drive down the rim of the crater and arrive at the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Cater / Manyara

Driving distance 20km,

Drift down to the crater floor, optional, perhaps after an early breakfast or carry a picnic breakfast and serve it at the crater floor.

The world’s largest unflooded & unbroken caldera intact. It’s a resourceful pasture with permanent water providing life to many species of wildlife. Like the Elephant, hippotpotamus and water-buck. The crater floor offers great chances of seeing the rare Black Rhino. Lions and hyenas live abundant here. As the afternoon sets in picnic lunch will be served at the crater floor. We continue game driving after lunch, then we drive to the camp for overnight stay.

-Overnight stay at Migombani Camp

Manyara National Park /Arusha

Driving distance 120km – 2hrs

After breakfast we will drive to Manyara park. A welcome respite to a number 0f wildlife on the crater floor. This park offers a wilderness experience in diverse habitats. The magnificent alkaline water lake encrusted with hundreds upon thousands of pink flamingos.
It is also one of the rare wilderness sights famed for tree climbing lions. Perhaps they go up trees to flee elephants, flies or to have perfect chilling spot.  Open grasslands provide perfect habitats for Zebra, wildebeest and warthog. The marshland makes an additional resource for hippos and diverse bird species.

In the afternoon picnic lunch will be served at the park, thereafter we will continue our game drive. Then we’ll exit and drive back to Arusha.

-You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport to fly out of the country or Arusha Domestic Airport and fly to Zanzibar or join another wildlife safari if extended excursions are selected.
